GUIDELINES & INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION:
- Caste Certificate Bearing Number (where applicable) are mandatory for submission of the online application form
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates belonging to States other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Category candidates for the purpose of admission.
- A candidate fails to produce a valid OBC-NCL certificate; such candidate shall not be eligible for OBC reservation benefits and shall be treated as belonging to the Unreserved (General) category for admission.
- No application fee shall be charged for submission of the online application form.
- The Mobile & Email provided will be verified with OTP.
- A valid ABC ID (https://www.abc.gov.in/) is mandatory for application.
- The applicant need to complete all the steps of application, upload the required documents, recheck all the details and then only Finalize the application in the last step to submit.
- Only finalized and submitted applications shall be considered for inclusion in the merit lists.
- NCCF-qualified students of Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University (CBPBU) have to upload the Self-Declaration for admission to 2 year PG courses in prescribed format only. Download Format
- For online submission, online marksheets, DigiLocker marksheets, or scanned copies of the original marksheets will be accepted. However, at the time of physical document verification, only the original marksheet or the DigiLocker marksheet will be accepted.
- Applicants are advised not to wait until the last date for submitting the online application form in order to avoid last-minute technical issues or heavy server traffic.
- Applicants must indicate their order of preference for admission to the Main Campus, 2nd Campus, Khalishamari Campus, and Self-Financed Evening Courses, wherever applicable.
- The Merit List shall be prepared and published based on the preferences exercised by the applicants in the online application form.
- Admission to all programmes shall be made strictly on the basis of merit and in accordance with the reservation policy of the Government of West Bengal.
- Inclusion of a candidate's name in the Merit List does not automatically guarantee admission to the applied programme. Admission shall be subject to verification of eligibility, availability of seats, and fulfilment of all admission requirements.
- Candidates who have obtained their Honours Bachelor's Degree in the years 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible to apply for admission. This condition shall not apply to the BLIS programme and the LL.M. programmes in Corporate and Commercial Law and Human Rights and Duties Education.
However, preference for LL.M. admission shall be given to candidates of the latest academic session.
- If any discrepancy or false information is detected during or after document verification, the candidature of the applicant shall be cancelled forthwith, and the admission fee, if already paid, shall be forfeited.
- If the number of admitted students in the Day Shift does not reach the sanctioned intake by the close of the admission process, the corresponding Evening Shift of that programme may be merged with the Day Shift, as resolved by the University.
- Applicants seeking admission to the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) programme must submit a declaration stating that they are not pursuing any other academicprogramme in the same academic session from any institution
- Sports / NCC / NSS Quota: One (01) seat in each subject shall be reserved under the Sports/NCC/NSS Quota, subject to availability. (a) For admission under the Sports Quota, the applicant must possess at least a District-Level Sports Certificate. (b) For admission under the NCC Quota, the applicant must possess at least an NCC "C" Certificate. (c) For admission under the NSS Quota, the applicant's name must have appeared in the previous three consecutive NSS lists published by the University.
- THE UNIVERSITY SHALL RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE PROCESS OF ADMISSION TO PG / BLIS / MLIS / PH.D. COURSE WORK PROGRAMME OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED SUBJECT(S) WITHOUT SHOWING ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
The ratio of Home University (CBPBU) students to Other University students shall ordinarily be 80:20. Any unfilled seats in either category may be interchanged and filled by eligible candidates from the other category, subject to availability and University rules.
